Building the UNO Rulebook & Web Research Agent in SimplAI Studio

The UNO Rulebook & Web Research Agent is designed to:

  • Answer UNO rules-related queries using the UNO Rulebook Knowledge Base.
  • Perform web research on general topics using the Web Research Tool.

This agent combines structured knowledge retrieval and real-time web search to provide accurate, up-to-date responses.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating the UNO Rulebook & Web Research Agent​

Step 1: Access the Agent Section​

  1. Navigate to SimplAI Studio.
  2. Click on "Agents" from the left sidebar.
  3. Select "+ Create Agent" to begin.

Step 2: Configure Agent Settings​

  1. Enter the Agent Name (e.g., "UNO Rulebook & Web Research Agent").
  2. Provide a Description (e.g., "This agent answers UNO rule queries and conducts web research."). Screen Recording

Step 3: Select the AI Model​

  1. Choose an AI model that best fits the agent's use case:
    • GPT-4o Mini (for quick responses)

Step 4: Define Agent Instructions​

1️. Provide a Base Instruction to guide the agent’s behavior.

Example Instruction:

You are an AI agent designed to assist users with two tasks:  
1. Answer questions about UNO game rules using a structured knowledge base.  
2. Conduct web research when the user asks for general information beyond UNO.  

Use the UNO Rulebook Knowledge Base for all UNO-related queries.  
Use the Web Research Tool for non-UNO-related queries.  
Ensure responses are clear, concise, and factually accurate.

Step 5: Add the Knowledge Base​

  1. Click + Add Knowledge Base.
  2. Select UNO Rulebook Knowledge Base (created earlier).
  3. This ensures the agent can retrieve accurate rule-based responses.

Step 6: Add the Web Research Tool​

  1. Click + Add Tool.
  2. Select Web Research Tool from the list.
  3. This allows the agent to perform live web research when required.

Step 7: Preview and Test the Agent​

  1. Click Preview to test the agent's responses.

Step 8: Save and Publish the Agent​

  1. Click Submit on the top-right and Create Version to Save Version the agent.
  2. Click Submit on the top-right and Create & Publish Version to Save and Publish the agent.
