Get Video Transcription Tool

The Get Video Transcription Tool allows users to obtain the transcription of a video by providing a video ID and language code.

Steps to Use the Get Video Transcription Tool​

Step 1: Access the Tool​

  • Click on Add User Step.
  • From the available options, select the Get Video Transcription Tool.

Step 2: Input the Video ID​

You need to provide the video ID generated from the Upload Video for Transcription Tool step. Use the video ID generated from the previous step.

Use a user input variable of Upload video for transcription tool to dynamically provide the video ID. To use input variables within your transcription retrieval, use the syntax {{variable_name}} to access the value of an input variable. For example, if there is an input parameter named “videoID”, you can access its value using {{videoID}}.

Step 3: Select the Language Code​

Choose the language code for the transcription. You can provide the language code in two ways:

  • Manual Entry: Type the language of the video directly into the input field.
  • User Input Variable: Use a user input variable to dynamically provide the language. To use input variables within your video transcripiton tool, use the syntax {{variable_name}} to access the value of an input variable. For example, if there is an input parameter named “language”, you can access its value using {{language}}.

Step 4: Configure Guardrails Validators (Optional)​

You can set up guardrails validators to ensure the transcription meets certain criteria. Set up validators based on your specific needs. This may include rules for transcription accuracy, context relevance, or other criteria.

Step 5: Retrieve the Transcription​

Once you have entered the video ID and selected the language code, initiate the transcription retrieval:

  1. Run the tool: Click the Run button to start the process of obtaining the video transcription.
  2. Results: The tool will process your request and retrieve the transcription based on the provided video ID and language code.

Step 6: View the Output​

The transcription of the video will be displayed in the results section. The transcription will be presented in a structured format, often in plain text, depending on the nature of the output.

Step 7: Utilize the Transcription​

You can now use the transcribed text for further processing, analysis, or integration into your application.

Tips for Effective Use​

  • Correct Video ID: Ensure the video ID is correctly entered to avoid errors during the transcription retrieval process.
  • Appropriate Language Code: Select the correct language code that matches the language spoken in the video for accurate transcription.
  • Save the Transcription: Keep a record of the transcription for future reference or further use.
