Upload Video for Transcription Tool

The Upload Video for Transcription Tool allows users to upload a video for transcription by providing a video URL and language code. The tool generates a video ID, which can be used with the Get Video Transcription Tool to obtain the transcription of the video.

Steps to Use the Upload Video for Transcription Tool​

Step 1: Access the Tool​

  • Click on Add User Step.
  • From the available options, select the Get Video for Transcription Tool.

Step 2: Input the Video URL​

You need to provide the URL of the video you want to upload for transcription. You can provide the video URL in two ways:

  • Manual Entry: Type the URL of the video directly into the input field.
  • User Input Variable: Use a user input variable to dynamically provide the video URL. To use input variables within your video upload, use the syntax {{variable_name}} to access the value of an input variable. For example, if there is an input parameter named “videoURL”, you can access its value using {{videoURL}}.

Step 3: Select the Language Code​

Choose the language code for the video to ensure accurate transcription. You can provide the language code in two ways:

  • Manual Entry: Type the URL of the video directly into the input field.
  • User Input Variable: Use a user input variable to dynamically provide the video URL. To use input variables within your video upload, use the syntax {{variable_name}} to access the value of an input variable. For example, if there is an input parameter named “language”, you can access its value using {{language}}.

Step 4: Run the Tool​

Once you have entered the video URL and selected the language code, the tool will process your request and upload the video for transcription.

Step 5: Generate Video ID​

After the video is successfully uploaded, a unique video ID will be generated.

Step 6: Utilize the Video ID for Transcription​

You can now use the generated video ID with the Get Video Transcription Tool to obtain the transcription of the video.

Tips for Effective Use​

  • Clear URLs: Ensure the video URL is correct and accessible to avoid errors during the upload process.
  • Appropriate Language Code: Select the correct language code that matches the language spoken in the video for accurate transcription.
  • Save the Video ID: Keep a record of the generated video ID, as it is required for retrieving the transcription.
